Hospital Bombers - info
After the release of their critically acclaimed debut album 'Footnotes' in December 2007, Amsterdam based indie-folk band Hospital Bombers toured most of 2008, spreading their heartbreaking songs of love and decay through Holland, Spain, the UK, US & Canada. In their quest to entertain the broken hearted, 2009 marked the writing and recording of new material in lead singer Jan Schenk's studio Lijn 3 in Amsterdam. Armed with their favorite three chords, vocals, violin, drums, bass, philicorda and tambourine the band successfully continued where they left off: Writing amazing pop songs echoing the work of The Velvet Underground, The Mountain Goats and Raymond Carver. Two of those new songs will be released on 7" by Subbacultcha! on October 19th.

zZz - info
The Amsterdam-based duo, consisting of Björn Ottenheim and Daan Schinkel, was formed in 2001 and makes a remarkable mix of psychedelic electro wave, garage soul and dirty rock & roll. The sound of zZz is based on an old church organ and a simple drum kit, getting help and amplification from various electronic equipment. zZz' last album has received rave reviews in the UK press: Spin Magazines has described their music as "both innovating and captivating", NME called it "the dark oily afterbirth of organ-punk and "the electro-krautrock loons of zZz" even took Q-Magazine "by surprise". The band has built up a notorious live reputation by extensive worldwide touring with the artists like Fatboy Slim, Juliette & The Licks, Jarvis Cocker, Franz Ferdinand and The Happy Mondays. Their second album "Running With The Beast" was released in the fall off 2008 by Anti Records. The video for the first single of the new record "Grip" received the Award of "Best International Music Video" at the Music Video Festival in Aix-en-Provence, France.
