"The USA, very tough to get into for a non-US band". Definitely true…but hip-hop/rock band Bagga Bownz seems increasingly able to cross international borders. They went to the US twice before, to perform at the Midpoint Music Festival in Ohio and the Just Plain Folks Awards (JPF) in California.
And Bagga Bownz strikes again...
For the second time they are nominated for the JPF Awards, this time in the category "best hard rock song" with their song "Scream" and "best hard rock album” with their, 2008 release "Done With The Pain".

Bagga Bownz and the U.S.A.
In 2008 and 2009, Bagga Bownz initiated a major promotional campaign in the U.S., as a result of which their album "Done With The Pain" is being played on hundreds of small, medium and large commercial radio stations. They reached a #34 position in the US Billboard ‘Hits of the web’, one of the most important charts of America. Mike McKnight, the musical director of Madonna, Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson, supports them and became a good friend of the band. In the Netherlands Bagga Bownz performed as support-act for well-known American acts like Bloodhound Gang, Papa Roach and Gym Class Heroes.
The awards
At the moment they are busy writing, producing and recording the successor to their debut CD "Done With The Pain". Whether they will return to the U.S. to perform at the 2009 JPF awards is still unclear. The award show will be held August 29 in Nashville, Tennessee.
