We Are Square is the title of C-mon & Kypski’s new album, to be released this month. The follow-up of the successful Where the wild things are was made in Amsterdam, where the band locked themselves in a building for a year with all their equipment. Unlike earlier albums, there are no guest musicians and there is a lot more live playing than on earlier records too.
The band claims to be inspired by touring the US for the making of this record, with the fun of making music live on stage opposed to working in the studio with computers and samplers. Turntable champion Kypski plays drums on all tracks, and the band members all did vocal duties. After promoting the album in Dutch venues, C-mon & Kypski will follow-up with several European and US dates in 2010.
