News: La Melodia rocks CMJ in New York City
La Melodia is a hiphop duo from Holland consisting of female MC Melodee and DJ/producer I.N.T. This duo from Amsterdam brings soulful hiphop with a raw edge. They started out in 2004 have been performing ever since all over the globe, in countries like Germany, France, Sweden, UK, USA, Indonesia, Japan and the list goes on...
After doing some very successful shows in the States last May, La Melodia has been invited back to the Big Apple.
On October 22nd they will perform at CMJ, which is the worlds biggest showcase festival! During this festival that lasts 5 days, New York City will be invaded by 130.000 musiclovers from all over the world, including 12.000 music industry professionals. Over 5000 musicians from all over the globe will perform at the festival.
The unique thing is though that La Melodia -like most other bands- didn't just submit for this event but was personally invited by The Bloomeffect to do a show at CMJ. This is quite an honour and it's safe to say that this will be a big opportunity for La Melodia to get their name out there and to connect with the international media and professionals.
Beside performing at the festival, MC Melodee will also take place in a panel about international hiphop artists in America on October 22nd. La Melodia's performance will take place in 92Y Tribeca, 200 Hudson Street NYC (showtime 9.00 PM).
La Melodia will also do another show in NYC on Oct 24th at the Libra Love & Hip hop haert party at Plan B, 339 East 10th Street bet Ave A & Ave B.
