News: Go Dutch Arena makes a welcome return to Creamfields

Logo Go Dutch

International party concept 'Go Dutch' returns to Creamfields this August Bank Holiday weekend bringing a plethora of Holland's finest on Sunday the 30th, including Marco V, Housequake, Funkerman, Benny Rodrigues, Don Diablo and a very special performance from the legendary DJ/producer Ferry Corsten. After tearing it up at Creamfields 2008 a lot can be expected for 2009 from the Go Dutch Arena. Rather than focusing on a particular style or sub-genre of music, it'll play host to the best the Netherlands has to offer from across a wide spectrum of electronic dance music.

Creamfields is the UK's No.1 dance festival and over the last ten years has held the crown as the world's best dance festival. Continuing to deliver on line up, location, atmosphere, attractions and value for money. This year Creamfields offers a two day camping festival. The second day, Sunday August 30, the Dutch are taking over the Daresbury Estate.

The first DJ's they are bringing to the line up are the Bingo Players. Outgrowing local bingo halls to play with the big ballers of the game has been the result of the Bingo Players' hard work and devotion. "Touch Me" has gained support all over, from Martin Solveig to Marco V and Shapeshifters to David Guetta. And if that wasn't enough, it hit Beatport's chart number one position. Their newest track "Disco Electrique" reached the second position in the Beatport chart this month!
With focus on dominating the world of bingo in 2009, hold on to your bingo cards; it's game time for this DJ duo. Marco V, one of the world's few DJ/producers that has succeeded in creating his own distinct 'Marco V sound', known primarily as a tech trance DJ, his sets have been known to cross over into Tech House and fierce Electro. To stay ahead of the game you have to adapt as trends change, and Marco V is the master at this. His star continues to shine having firmly established his position as one of Holland's premiership DJ's. Marco V joins another of Holland's biggest exports: Ferry Corsten who takes to the helm and headlines the Go Dutch Arena and plays Creamfields' main stage that same day! It's all in a year's work for the man who's been called the "architect, pioneer, and instigator" of trance music's global dominance. The Dutch superstar has consistently been voted one of the top 10 DJs in the world for five years. He's played for hundreds of thousands of fans and had his life's work interpreted in music, video and décor at his annual Masquerade event "Full on Ferry", at 12,000-capacity arena Ahoy in his hometown, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

In the afternoon it's time for a two hour back2back set by Housequake, the musical movement of big boys in the business Roog, Ericke and resident MC Gee that is causing waves throughout the clubbing world. Solo they have been at the pinnacle of Dutch house music for the last two decades and as a trio it's a real earthquake of dance music – sold out, roadblocked clubs with long entry lines and an atmosphere to rival any club night in the world. In May they hosted their first Housequake Festival, where they released their single 'Housequake & Anita Kelsey - Shed My Skin' and the 'Housequake Volume 3' compilation album. Check out the video (with images of their 5 hour set) to see how hot they are: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZC0NaA4sR0&fmt=22. Funkerman head up the house in the Go Dutch Arena for 2009, a man who's label Flamingo Recordings was responsible for bringing the anthem 'Put your Hands up for Detroit', 'Speed Up', '3 Minutes To Explain' and just recently 'Slide' (Funkerman feat. Mitch Crown), to name a few. Funkerman is fit to bursting point. With his own Flamingo Nights series of parties becoming an international benchmark for high-class production and world calibre guest mixes, a label so on form it's mind blowing, and a fast-growing reputation as the man to front up dance floors all over the world, Funkerman's 2009 is set to hit the big red warp factor button. Another name on the Go Dutch line up includes Benny Rodrigues, a DJ who has infiltrated himself in the list of famous Dutch top DJs in a very short time. This Rotterdam born and raised talent with Portuguese blood understands the art of using the funk, of getting the dancing floor full and the room to its feet. Besides his huge (mainly Dutch) amount of DJ-gigs, Benny's main focus nowadays is to produce music which reflects his typical edge sound, so the rest of the world will get to know and experience where Benny Rodrigues musically stands for.

The closing set is from Don Diablo, known for his production diversity, remixing names from Public Enemy & Newton Faulkner, his summer release 'Hooligans', a collaboration with fellow Creamfields artist and British rapper Example is set to take over the UK charts this summer. Diablo is an all encompassing DJ, producer, label boss, singer, writer, visualist hailing from Amsterdam. His hectic tour schedule takes him from Hong Kong to London and from Miami to Sydney. He has released over 75 singles, including 8 Top 100 chart hits in Holland. 2009 is going to be a massive year for Don so make sure you check him out! And to get the crowds hyped up, the arena will be hosted by the beautiful & talented MC Lady Bee. One of the most wanted hosts in the Netherlands, MC/vocalist Lady Bee is well known for her energetic, powerful voice and spontaneous appearance during many DJ sets in any kind of dance-scene. With her style, lyrics on the beat, singing, rhyming and shouting she's always able to please the crowd.
