FAQ

What is dutchsound.nl?
Dutchsound.nl is the information source on Dutch music and the Dutch music industry. See the about section for more info.

I’m only interested in one genre. How can I find genre related information?
The design of dutchsound.nl is by genre. Each genre has its own homepage with separate news, featured artists and new releases. Also the compilation CDs are by genre. In the music database you can search for all artists from one genre by selecting ‘artists’ in the search box and the specific genre in the genre selection box.

I have interesting news for your website.
International CD releases or tours from Dutch artists or other Dutch music news for international interest can be sent to our editors: info@dutchsound.nl

I'm a Dutch music professional and my details in the music database are incorrect.
We try to display the contact information as correctly as possible. However we cannot prevent outdated or incorrect information. Please contact us with your correct contact details and we will update your information as soon as possible.

I can’t play tracks from the compilation CDs.
In order to play the audio streams you need to have Flash installed on your computer. You can download Flash here.

Can I add a production to the compilation CD?
If the production is Dutch music copyright, you can request a spot on one of the compilation CDs. Contact us for more information. We cannot guarantee that your production will be included. The compilation CDs are compiled once a year.

I have a question which isn’t answered by one of the questions above.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to help you.

“It's quite simple: we made a car called De Staat, and EuroSonic Noorderslag was our ticket to the freeway.[...] After our showcases at EuroSonic Noorderslag 2009 we started playing clubs, and before we could hear one bird whistle, we were set for the summer. Festivals like Pinkpop, Lowlands, Dour, The Great Escape and Sziget are now gigs we can proudly brag about.” De Staat
